READ,
SPEAK,
LEARN,
REPEAT.
It starts simple enough. Read something, anything, then think about it. Turn it over and over a few times yourself and develop your own thoughts.
Then speak. To friends, family, bar stool companions, and fellow waiting room prisoners. Kick around the things you’ve read and gain perspective, but from multiple angles.
Listen to what others think, be objective, not defensive. Learn. Debate with more purpose than passion.
Do that a few times and you’ll find yourself building a habit that will serve you and the World for the better.
My own writing may be what defines egregious story-telling, but if it makes you go read other works in the search for something that holds your attention, I’ll keep doing it. Cheers!
